UB College of Dentistry

Posted by: DDS Dentist In: Dental Schools

University of Baguio College of Dentistry is the premier dental educational institution in Baguio.

For decades, parents and students in Luzon look to Manila as the primary place to acquire a college degree. That is the past. Today, the 21st century college student does not only need an excellent school but an environment that is conducive to his intellectual, social, spiritual and emotional growth. Baguio City provides this environment. It is ideal for college life and UB is the ace up to its sleeve.

Dr. Fernando G. Bautista and Rosa S. Castillo Bautista rented space along downtown Session Road and started a school which they called Baguio Technical and Commercial Institute. It is also called as Baguio Tech. 89 students were its first enrolees who took short term courses like automotive mechanics, radio mechanics, radio technology, horology, typing, stenography and bookkeeping.

On August 7, 1969, the school was granted University status by Department of Education. Today, the then small school in Session Road with 89 students is now a big University with 14 buildings and 17, 000 students from all over the Philippines and around the world.

UB earned a Deregulated Status from the Commission of Higher Education (CHED). The quality of UB’s education can be attested by the outstanding performance of its graduates in licensure/board examinations. University of Baguio College of Dentistry has produced national topnotchers in Dental Board Examination.
